The scheme, called “18kRonaldinho”, promised investors generous returns of 2% per day if they invested at least $30 in digital currencies. Ronaldinho was an ambassador for the company, which initially sold watches and jewelry.The former star of FC Barcelona, AC Milan, and Brazil’s national soccer team was summoned to testify in court but failed to appear without explanation. He has been ordered to appear in court on August 30th, and if he fails to do so, law enforcement agents may use force to transfer him.Ronaldinho’s attorneys have stated that their client is actually a victim of the scam, claiming that wrongdoers have used his image and name illegally to con more people.
